Although we now have a crib, the drawers are so practical, and Annika and Luka look so adorable co-sleeping in them, that André hasn't had much will to put the crib together. Then again, it sure would be nice to have a sock drawer again! But the drawers are such a practical solution.
You can put them in the sunshine by the porch:

Or you can put them on the dining room table while you work in the kitchen:
And, you can watch them sleep right from your bed:
Also, in the drawer by your bedside, you can pull the drawer over closer to the bed if need be to comfort them if they stir.
The she wolf likes it too. Penélope can check on them without fretting because she can see them, at her level, which comforts her and continues to help normalize their presence in our home for her.

We took these last pictures just last night, a few minutes after the 2 AM feeding. Adorable! Who cares if it's 2 AM? We never would have seen this moment otherwise.
